Have your album artwork problems fixed, for perfect print results!
Picture the scene: The ink is dry on the lucrative contract you signed with Priapic Porcupine Records in Kuala Lumpur, and you’ve supplied them with the masters for your debut album. Your mate who dropped out of art school to forge a career selling photocopiers created some groovy album artwork for your record and CD, and laid it out as well as he could in a trial version of Photoshop®, hoping he’d got the technical side of things right.
But a week later, the record company mogul emails you to say there are problems with the artwork 😬. It’s missing bleed, it’s in the wrong colour mode, it’s using colours that are out of gamut, is oversaturated and the label’s blurb is in tiny, rasterised text. She also sends you a preview PDF that the print section at the pressing plant sent. Your rich, luxurious, vibrant midnight blue has come out looking as dull as some particularly dull ditchwater on a dull December day 😳. WTF?! 🤬
So you text your mate the photocopier salesman, to see what he suggests. But he’s criss-crossing the country at the moment, hopping between clients, hoping to clinch that elusive big photocopier sale.
